Worker Killed  After Getting Stuck in Heavy Machinery

Orange County, Fla. – A worker was killed after getting stuck in heavy machinery in a food packaging plant in Orange County early Wednesday morning.

A man was reportedly killed after he was stuck in heavy machinery at the Taylor Farms Foods on Chancellor Drive, in an industrial area between South John Young Parkway and Orange Blossom Trail, half mile north of Sand Lake Road.

Officers were called to the scene of the incident and found the employee already stuck in the machine at around 5:00 in the morning. The 38-year-old employee was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the incident was purely accidental but detectives and crime scene investigators were at the site to look further into the fatal industrial incident. Several officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) were also at the scene to investigate the incident.

The identity of the victim was not disclosed.

The California-based bagged salads and vegetable supplier in a statement expressed their sympathies to the family, friends and co-workers o the victim.
