Mansfield – A construction worker in Mansfield was hurt after involving in a dump truck incident early Monday morning.
The 25-year-old construction worker suffered severe but non-life threatening injuries to his hand and arm after his arm was caught in the machinery of a dump truck at around 8:30 in the morning on Willow Street.
The man was said to be working at the Willowdale housing construction site when the incident happened. Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini said that the worker’s left arm was crushed after it was caught in the machinery of the dump truck causing serious injuries.
Responding paramedics attended to the injured worker before he was airlifted to the Boston Center by Medflight. An investigation into the incident will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
The area was used to be a golf course and is now being developed as a residential subdivision.
