OSHA investigating death of worker at Macon construction site

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating an incident in which a construction worker lost his life after he reportedly fell more than 30ft at the site a new tire factory in Macon.
The 19-year-old man was working at the Sofkee Industrial Park site on November 19th, when he reportedly fell from a high ceiling.
The man suffered serious head injuries following the incident.
He was taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health, where he died on December 14th.
According to statistics from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, more than 4500 workers died on the job in 2014.
